Rome 2 with DeI might be the best total war game to date, depends how much you like fantasy and warhammer, and I say that as a huge total war fan who has played all the games of the series, enjoy. I suggest you definately play Rome 2, and not skip it as other posters suggest here, also play it with DeI right from the start because if you try it later you will feel you were wasting your time without it. I have played many hours of both rome 2 unmodded and with DeI and I can tell you once I installed DeI I couldn't go back no matter what.
